CEDAR CITY, Utah - March 10 - Elise Wheeler has been named the Western Athletic Conference co-Specialist of the Week after scoring a team-best 9.900 on floor to capture the individual title at the University of Iowa.  Wheeler shared the weekly conference award with San Jose State's Tiffany Louie who scored a 9.900 on floor, marking a career high.

Wheeler's title on floor was the 23rd individual title for the senior this year as her consecutive all-around streak came to an end after seven meets.  Wheeler suffered a rare fall on beam during the final rotation at Iowa after scoring a 9.900 on floor for the individual title.

Southern Utah gymnastics will be back in action this weekend when the Thunderbirds face the trio of Utah, Oregon State and Penn State on Friday night in Salt Lake City.
