CEDAR CITY, Utah. - Southern Utah University women's tennis will continue its season this weekend, having qualified as the No. 5 seed in the Big Sky Conference tournament in Sacramento, Calif. The Thunderbirds are scheduled to face Northern Colorado in the opening round.

SUU finished its first year in the Big Sky with a league mark of 6-4 with its only losses coming against Sacramento State, Montana, Northern Arizona and its first round opponent, Northern Colorado. Each of those teams are also in the tournament, having qualified as the No. 1 through No. 4 seeds, respectively.

Southern Utah's match with Northern Colorado on Thursday is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. (MT) with the winning team playing in the semi-finals on Friday, also at 3:00 p.m. (MT). The finals are scheduled to be played on Sunday afternoon at the same time.
