Mike Tate Continues Strong Summer in El Salvador

CEDAR CITY, Utah - Southern Utah's Mike Tate has wrapped up competition at the NACAC U23 Championships in El Salvador, where he secured a Silver Medal in the 1,500-meter race.

The NACAC (North America, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association) meet was held in El Salvador, and Tate was representing his home country of Canada. The meet was only for athletes under the age of 23.

Tate finished in second place with a time of 3:51.91 to secure a Silver Medal at the podium.

This finish just adds to the success Tate has had this summer. Earlier this month, Mike won a Bronze Medal at the Canadian Olympic Trials in the 5,000-meter just barely missing out on second place.

Tate also had a solid performance in the 1,500-meter at the Canadian Trials, finishing in fifth place there.
