CEDAR CITY, Utah - Thunderbird Mike Tate will be competing in Toronto this weekend at the Canadian 5K Championships.

The field of competitors will be stacked, with three Canadian Olympians competing on the men's side and six Olympians in total competing in the event.

Tate spent plenty of time during the summer competing in and for Canada. He represented the Canadian National Team at the NACAC U23 Championships in El Salvador, where he won Silver in the 1,500-meter race.

He also competed in the Canadian Championships, where he finished third in the 5,000-meter, competing against another stacked field that also featured former Thunderbird Cam Levins.

The race will be ran in the morning of September 11.

Tate is currently in a redshirt season at Southern Utah.
