SUU Gymnastics Claims Tenth Academic National Championship

CEDAR CITY, Utah - July 20 - SUU Gymnastics claimed its tenth academic national championship since 1993 as the team finished with a combined grade point average of 3.8923 to earn the award for the 2010 season. The T-Birds finished ahead of their academic rival, Southeast Missouri State, which finished with an overall GPA of 3.8905.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - April 22 - Elise Wheeler's bid to capture more All-American accolades and NCAA hardware came to an end of Thursday night as the senior finishes 12th in the all-around in the second session of the NCAA National Championships. Wheeler finished the night with a 39.150 in the all-around, finishing ahead of all-arounders from Missouri, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina State, Minnesota, Michigan, Denver and Stanford.

Elise Wheeler Representing SUU at National Championships this Weekend

CEDAR CITY, Utah - April 21 - Southern Utah's Elise Wheeler will be making her third consecutive trip to the NCAA National Gymnastics Championships as an all-around competitor by way of her finish in the all-around in the Morgantown regional. The meet is scheduled to take place this weekend as Wheeler will rotate with the University of Arkansas, beginning on Thursday night.
