Biography
At SUU, 2009-10: One of just two players to start every game
last season, he set the SUU single-season blocks record with 64 rejections. In
addition to leading team in blocks he also led the squad with a field goal
percentage of .584, was second on the team with 4.9 rebounds per game (5.3 in
Summit League games), was second in both offensive (1.3) and defensive (3.6) rebounds per game, and
averaged 6.3 points per game, sixth on the team. Led or co-led team in blocks
24 times and had at least one block in all but six games. Was team's top
rebounder (or co-leader) 10 times, led the team in steals twice and in scoring
once. Posted then-career highs for scoring, rebounds and assists vs. U. of the
Southwest when he hit all five of his shots and his only free throw to finish
with 11 points, with six rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal. Scored nine
points with four rebounds and blocked three shots at Weber State. Pulled down
eight rebounds and scored six points with an assist and a steal vs. UNLV. Got
into early foul trouble vs. UC Riverside but still managed four
blocks, eight points, four rebounds and an assist in just 24 minutes. Scored 12
points vs. North Dakota State and corralled eight rebounds while blocking three
shots, was credited with the game-tying basket at the end of regulation to send
the contest to overtime. Notched his first career double-double vs. SDSU when
he posted career scoring and rebounding highs with 16 points and 11 rebounds,
also had a pair of blocks against the 'Jacks. Scored 12 points with eight
rebounds and four blocks at IPFW. Co-led team with five rebounds vs. IUPUI,
also blocked two shots but scored just two points. Notched his second
double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds vs. UMKC, hit 5-of-6 shots and
also blocked three 'Roo shots. Pulled down seven rebounds, blocked two shots,
had an assist and scored two despite playing just 15 minutes because of foul
trouble at NDSU. Tied his career-high with four blocks vs. Oakland, then
bettered that with six vs. IPFW, tying the third-most rejections in a game at
SUU; also had 15 points and nine rebounds vs. the 'Dons. Hit all three of his
shots at IUPUI, finished with seven points and two rebounds in 18 minutes on
the floor.
At Ipswich Grammar School: Averaged 27.3 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.8 blocks per game for Coach Danny Breen’s Miners. Earned a scholarship to the prestigious Australian Institute of Sport. Was a member of the Australian U19 team that came in fourth at the World Championships as well as a member of the Australian National Champion Queensland squad.
