ST. GEORGE, Utah, March 19 – Southern Utah's women finished second among three teams in a modified Stableford System-scored match at Sunbrook Golf Club Thursday. Northern Iowa claimed the win with 145 points to edge SUU, which finished with 144. Wyoming was third with 131 points.

UNI's Blair Bonner and Wyoming;s Dana Zamprelli finished tied for third with 32 points, while SUU's
Jamie Coking was fifth with 31.
Rounding out SUU's entry,
Morgan Kerber scored 28 points while
Kacy Buckner and
Brittany Edwards each finished with 26.
In scoring the match a bogie was worth one point, a par worth two, birdies were good for four points and an eagle brought home six points.
“We played pretty well today, in fact, if we had been playing stroke-play we would have finished first but Northern Iowa got that eagle and that pushed them over the top,” SUU
Assistant Coach Casey McClellan said. “Sadie and Jamie both played really well and everyone else played well, we got good scores from everyone.”
The Thunderbirds compete at BYU's Dixie Classic next week.
