CEDAR CITY, Utah, Oct. 29 - Southern Utah University's
Miles Killebrew has been named National Punt Returner of the Week by College
Football Performance Awards following his performance in the Thunderbirds'
30-27 win over then-No. 1 Eastern Washington last Saturday.
Killebrew, a redshirt freshman safety from Henderson, Nev.
(Foothill HS) got the Thunderbirds on the scoreboard first Saturday when he
blocked a Jake Miller punt, then scooped up the ball and returned it 41 yards
for a touchdown in the first quarter.
The touchdown was Killebrew's second of the season, along
with a 49-yard fumble return he scored on against New Mexico Highlands
University on Sept. 15.
Kicker Colton Cook and linebacker Zac Browning earned
honorable mention honors for their performances, as Cook hit three field goals,
including the 36-yard game-winner, and Browning notched 15 tackles, with a tackle
for loss and a fumble recovery, in the game
