Killebrew Named National Punt Returner of the Week

CEDAR CITY, Utah, Oct. 29 - Southern Utah University's Miles Killebrew has been named National Punt Returner of the Week by College Football Performance Awards following his performance in the Thunderbirds' 30-27 win over then-No. 1 Eastern Washington last Saturday.

Killebrew, a redshirt freshman safety from Henderson, Nev. (Foothill HS) got the Thunderbirds on the scoreboard first Saturday when he blocked a Jake Miller punt, then scooped up the ball and returned it 41 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.

The touchdown was Killebrew's second of the season, along with a 49-yard fumble return he scored on against New Mexico Highlands University on Sept. 15.

Kicker Colton Cook and linebacker Zac Browning earned honorable mention honors for their performances, as Cook hit three field goals, including the 36-yard game-winner, and Browning notched 15 tackles, with a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery, in the game
