CEDAR CITY, Utah - Southern Utah University women's volleyball was honored with a pair of all-Big Sky Conference awards on Thursday as seniors Analaine Mailoto and Cashaana Renfro picked up honorable mention accolades.

The duo wrapped up their career at SUU as the only two original signees of the program that was brought back to campus in 2008. The team didn't actually compete until 2009 with both players creating records that will be chased by future student-athletes in the volleyball program.

Mailoto finished 2012 ranked second in the Big Sky Conference in kills per set (3.81) and points per set (4.04) all while leading the Thunderbirds in kills (441) and finishing second on the team with 322 digs. In all, Mailoto compiled a school-record 1888 kills, 96 service aces and 1381 digs during her time in Cedar City. The all-conference honor is the fourth of her career, having earned first-team all-Summit League honors the past three seasons and the 2009 Summit League Freshman of the Year award.

Renfro was also among the leaders of the Big Sky Conference, finishing second in the league in blocks per set with a 1.26 average. She was tops on the team with a total of 145 blocks on the year, including 15 solo blocks and 130 block assists. The Fairbanks, Alaska native racked up a total of 432 blocks in her career and a career hitting percentage of .238 (819-366-1904), both of which stand as school records.

Southern Utah's season concluded last weekend with the Thunderbirds claiming a 3-2 victory over the University of North Dakota.
