CEDAR CITY, Utah, April 29 – Southern Utah University’s Sadie Palmer has earned first-team all-Big Sky Conference honors for women’s golf, the conference announced today.

The all-conference team and individual honorees are determined by the individual players’ rankings according to Golfstat.

Palmer, a senior from Tooele, Utah, finished in the top-10 of a tournament six times this past season  – including four second-place finishes and an eighth-place finish at the BSC championships – and led the Thunderbirds all season in stroke average. She finished the year with a stroke average of 75.89, the second-best mark in school history, and a final Golfstat ranking of 254.

Palmer was joined on the all-conference team by Portland State’s A Ram Choi, Northern Arizona’s Stephanie Kim and Savana Bezdicek; Weber State’s Kelsey Chugg, Northern Colorado’s Carleigh Silvers and Montana State’s Paige Crawford.

Choi was named Golfer of the Year by virtue of her conference-low Golfstat ranking of 112, while Crawford earned a spot on the team after winning the individual title at the conference championships. Bezdicek was named Freshman of the Year after tying Palmer in the Golfstat rankings at 254.

The five-player second-team was made up of Northern Arizona’s Kaitlen Parsons, Portland State’s Britney Yada, Montana’s Tara Green and Olivia Weber; and Weber State’s Amanda Snyder.
