GREELEY, Colo. - Southern Utah University women's tennis dropped its first conference road test of the 2013 season on Saturday when the Thunderbirds fell 4-3 at Northern Colorado.

The Bears captured the doubles point to begin the match with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. That point proved to be difference in the contest as both teams won three singles matches each.

The top three of Southern Utah's lineup, Olya Kunz, Veronika Rogova and Alex Ivanova tallied the Thunderbirds' points with straight-set victories at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.

Kunz took her first set 7-6 by capturing the tiebreaker, 7-4. The senior then dropped only three games in the second for the 6-3 victory.

Rogova picked up a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles and Ivanova ran her winning streak to four matches at No. 3 singles with the 6-0, 6-4 win over UNC's Stephanie Catlin.

Southern Utah will be back in action on Monday, facing Seattle University in Las Vegas, Nev. at 6:00 p.m. at the Bally's Tennis Complex.
