CEDAR CITY, Utah - Southern Utah University gymnastics will face Boise State for the third time this season when the two teams square off in Cedar City on Friday night. The competition will be a repeat of last week’s meet, only in different locations, as the two teams faced one another in Boise, Idaho last Friday.

SUU is still looking for its first win of the season, but found a silver lining last week in defeat by putting up a season-high 195.050 on the road which will bode well towards the Thunderbirds’ regional qualifying score at the end of the year. A team’s RQS is calculated by combining its three highest road scores in addition to its three highest scores during the season.

Looking at the team individually, senior Alyssa Click looks to have fully recovered from a knee injury that kept her out in 2013. She leads the team and Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championship on beam with a 9.817 season average. Click is also second on the Thunderbird roster on bars with a 9.792 season average.

The meet on Friday night is scheduled in the Centrum Arena at 7:00 p.m. with live stat and live video links available online at For tickets, please contact the SUU Box Office at 435-586-7872 or go online to
