John Leads Men's Tennis in Games as T-Birds Fall to UNLV

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Southern Utah University men's tennis was led by Mitchell John with five games in singles as the Thunderbirds fell to UNLV in the first of four matches in Las Vegas for the men over the next few days.

SUU was taken at love at No. 2 doubles and No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 singles as the Rebels posted the 7-0 victory. John, a true freshman from Hyrum, Utah, captured two games in the first and three games in the second set of his 6-2, 6-3 defeat to UNLV's Ozzy Abraham at No. 6 singles, taking the most games of any Thunderbird on the day.

Southern Utah will continue its tour in Vegas, facing Grand Canyon on Sunday and Seattle and Idaho State on Monday at the Darling Tennis Center.
