January 21, 2013
I’m looking forward to this weekend when another group of outstanding former student-athletes will be inducted into Southern Utah University Athletics’ Hall of Fame.
On Saturday, January 26, five of SUU’s greatest student-athletes will be formerly inducted into the Hall of Fame at an afternoon banquet, then later that evening they will be recognized at halftime of the men’s basketball game against Eastern Washington.
This year’s inductees are Stuart Adams (golf), Cherri Frandsen (women’s basketball), Myndee Kay Larsen (women’s basketball), Davor Marcelic (men’s basketball), and Rick Robbins (football). All of these individuals dot our record books and went on to further distinguish themselves after finishing their days in Cedar City.
When one considers all the former student-athletes to ever represented our institution, it becomes such a great honor to be inducted into our Hall of Fame. I commend the Hall of Fame Committee for the outstanding work in culling the many nominees and putting together such an outstanding induction class.
Congratulations to all of the inductees. I look forward to personally thanking each of you for the great foundation you helped to build.
Our future is only as bright as our ability to connect with our past.
