Jenna Ayers Named New Senior Woman Administrator of SUU Athletics

CEDAR CITY, Utah, July 18 - Southern Utah University Athletics announced the hiring of Jenna Ayers as the department’s new Senior Woman Administrator this week. The position is responsible for representing the female student-athletes experience and perspective as well as team administration. Additionally, Ayers will serve as the department’s academic coordinator and oversee the professional and life skills development of the student-athletes.
“I look forward to working with the student-athletes in this new capacity and helping them achieve success both in and out of their sports as well as in their future lives following SUU,” commented Ayers.
Ayers most recently served on coaching staff of the SUU softball team that captured its first Big Sky Conference championship this past season. She has also worked with the athletics department’s strength and conditioning program since 2012. Prior to arrival at Southern Utah, she was a coach, teacher and administrator at St. Bernard High School in California.
Ayers earned her degree in exercise science from Southern Oregon University in 2007 where she competed for four seasons with the Red Raiders’ women’s basketball team. She received her masters of science in sports conditioning and performance from Southern Utah University in May of 2013.
