Harker and Sandall Receive Big Sky Conference Scholar-Athlete Awards

CEDAR CITY, Utah – Following the 2016-17 season, the Big Sky Conference has announced its 2016-17 Scholar-Athlete Award winners, which include Southern Utah Thunderbirds Logan Harker and Eric Sandall.

Harker, a Thunderbird soccer standout, graduated this spring with a degree in Physical Education, and track & field athlete Sandall graduated in engineering.

OGDEN, Utah (June 8, 2017) - The conclusion of the 2016-17 season has come, and the Big Sky Conference announced its 2016-17 Scholar-Athlete Award winners Thursday. 

To qualify for the award, a student-athlete must have a minimum grade-point-average of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale), be a member of the graduating class and/or have completed their last year of intercollegiate athletic eligibility, have completed at least two years of intercollegiate competition and be a letterwinner in their respective sport.
