CEDAR CITY, Utah – The Southern Utah University Thunderbirds and the University of Utah Utes announced an agreement to play in 2024 in Salt Lake City.
“We are thrilled to get another opportunity to play the University of Utah,” head coach Demario Warren said. “Our players love to play against the best programs in the nation and playing in Rice-Eccles Stadium is an awesome experience. We look forward to the challenge and continued relationship with the University of Utah.”
After meeting for the first time in school history on Sept. 1, 2016 at Rice-Eccles Stadium, the Utah Utes pulled away with a season-opening 24-0 victory.
In August of 2016, SUU and Utah agreed to a game in 2022.
SUU's 2024 game against Utah will be the third meeting between the two teams.
