Southern Utah University Baseball Summer Camps

Southern Utah University Baseball has developed a pair of summer baseball camps for players from grades 2nd - 8th and 9th - 12th. The Summer Camps will allow players a chance to work on their hitting and defensive skills while receiving instruction from Southern Utah coaches and players.  The camps will also feature several games where players can show off their skills and put newly learned skills into action.

The camp for grades 2nd through 8th will run June 3-4 (Wednesday & Thursday) with all players meeting from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the baseball field (Thunderbird Park).  The camp will resume on Thursday with players meeting from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Thunderbird Park.

The camp for grades 9th through 12th will run June 8-9 (Monday & Tuesday) with all players meeting from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the baseball field (Thunderbird Park).  The camp will resume on Tuesday morning with players meeting from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Thunderbird Park.

Coach David Eldredge - Southern Utah Thunderbird Head Coach
- 17 years of college coaching experience, 11 of which coming as a head coach
- Coached in eight college regional tournaments and one collegiate World Series
- Captain of BYU's 1983 #1 ranked team in the nation
- Coached Hawaii High School State Champions
- Coached five Youth National Championships

Counselors

Robert Stephens - Southern Utah Thunderbird Assistant Coach
- Four-year assistant coach with Southern Utah
- Pitched two seasons in the Atlanta Braves organization
- Served as a private coach for Major League pitchers Shawn Estes and Dan Wright

Chase Hudson - Southern Utah Thunderbird Assistant Coach
- Two-year player at Southern Utah, coming out of the bullpen
- Two-year letterman at Walla Walla Community College prior to coming to SUU

Loren Murillo - Southern Utah Thunderbird Assistant Coach
- Played a season on Chicago State University before signing with SUU prior to the 2007 season
