Cedar City, Utah - October 31 - Southern Utah soccer staged a last second flurry that ORU goalie Amanda Wheeler was able to turn back as SUU lost to ORU 1-0 in its home finale.

Southern Utah outshot the Eagles 18-to-14.  Both teams had seven shots on goal, but ORU was able to make just one count, while Wheeler turned away all Thunderbird efforts.

The lone goal of the match came 30:23 into the first half.  Whitney Booth punched a shot in off of a rebound to secure the eventual winning margin.

Ten minutes into the second half, a McKenzie Hadley shot bounded off of the cross-bar.  The Thunderbirds continued to battle until the final buzzer, with not one, but two close-range shots by Michelle Judd and Emily Belnap  being blocked and saved in the final ten seconds of play.

The Thunderbirds honored four graduating seniors before the match, Kristen Fronk, Laura Goodrich, Jennifer Johnson, and Makell Southworth.
