CEDAR CITY, Utah - June 15 - Southern Utah freshman Taylor Shaw has been named to the Ping!Baseball Freshman All-American Third Team, becoming the second consecutive Thunderbird to earn the award after Bo Cuthbertson was named to the third team last season.

Shaw shared time behind the plate with fellow freshman Joe Goldenberg during the year, batting .364 with four home runs and 28 RBI.  He was especially dangerous during league play when he hit .400 from the plate, leading the team in that category.  Overall, Shaw was in the top five of nine offensive categories en route to first-team all-Summit League accolades at the end of the 2010 season.
