2012-13 Review/Highlights: Played in all 31 games with 30 starts, came off the bench vs. Montana on senior night. Is currently tied for second on SUU’s single-season blocks list with 60, which also puts him fourth on the career list. Played 20 minutes in the post at Gonzaga where he scored six points, pulled down five rebounds, blocked five shots and dished out two assists; the five blocks are tied as the sixth-highest total in a game in SUU history. Pulled down a career-high and team season-high 13 rebounds at TCU, he also scored nine points, blocked two shots and dished out a pair of assists in a season-high 29 minutes on the court. Scored 12 points vs. San Diego Christian, also pulled down nine rebounds and blocked four shots. Scored six points, pulled down nine rebounds, blocked three shots, dished out two assists and had a steal vs. North Dakota; had two points, two blocks, two rebounds and an assist down the stretch as the T-Birds put the game away. Scored 10 points with a team-high six rebounds, also blocked a shot at Denver. Paced team with eight rebounds against Northern Colorado, also scored eight points, blocked a pair of shots and dished out an assist against the Bears. Had eight points, five rebounds and an assist in 18 minutes at NAU, hit 2-of-2 free throws down the stretch to help preserve the win. Scored a season-high 13 points at Montana State where he also pulled down eight rebounds and blocked three shots. Posted his first career double-double with 11 points (on 4-of-6 shooting) and 11 rebounds at home vs. Portland State, also blocked a shot. Blocked three shots, scored seven points, pulled down two rebounds and dished out an assist at home vs. Eastern Washington. Co-led team with seven rebounds at home vs. Sacramento State. Blocked three shots, pulled down eight rebounds, scored eight points, dished out an assist and had a steal at home vs. Northern Arizona. Co-led team with eight rebounds at Idaho State where he also scored six points, blocked a shot and dished out an assist. Blocked five shots scored two points and had two rebounds at Weber State. Pulled down nine rebounds at Portland State, where he also scored eight points, blocked a shot and dished out an assist. Raked in 10 rebounds at Eastern Washington to go with two points, two assists and a block. Posted his second double-double with a career-high-tying 13 points and 11 rebounds vs. CS Northridge, also blocked a shot, tied his best with two assists and had a steal; scored the winning basket with 11 seconds to play when he picked up a loose ball under the basket and went up to score. Scored 11 points, pulled down five rebounds and blocked two shots  in 21 minutes at home vs. Montana State. Scored eight points, dished out a career-high three assists, pulled down two rebounds and blocked a shot at Northern Colorado. Played just six minutes at North Dakota after twisting an ankle in practice the previous day, pulled down three rebounds, blocked a shot and scored two points in the limited duty. Scored six points and pulled down four rebounds with an assist in 18 minutes on the court vs. UND at the Big Sky tournament

At Salt Lake Community College: An honorable mention all-Region 18 performer for Coach Todd Phillips' last year, Cheesman led the Bruins in rebounding and blocks, averaging 5.5 boards and 1.4 rejections per contest. He also chipped in 7.9 points per game while connecting on 50.0 percent of his shots from the field in 2011-12. His blocks average ranked second in the Scenic West Conference, his field goal percentage ranked fourth and he was also among the conference's top-10 in rebounding and offensive rebounds last year. Cheesman helped the Bruins to a 22-9 overall mark - including a 9-6 record in SWAC play - and a number-two seed in the Region 18 tournament.
