FARGO, N.D. - Oct. 31 - Southern Utah women's volleyball face conference-leading North Dakota State on Saturday night and came away without a win as the Thunderbirds dropped a 25-13, 25-14 and 25-18.  The loss drops the T-Birds to 6-18 on the year and 4-10 in the Summit League.  NDSU recorded its 18th consecutive home win and 34th consecutive conference win with the victory, improving to 19-3 overall and 15-0 in conference.

Southern Utah was held below a .100 hitting percentage in both the first and second sets, falling behind early in both frames.  The Bison held onto the lead in both stanzas to take an early 2-0 lead going into the intermission.

The teams opened the third set with a point and counter point, before a 4-0 run gave North Dakota State a 5-1 lead.  The Bison maintained at least a two-point margin down the stretch to send the Thunderbirds home with a 3-0 defeat.

Analaine Pelaez led all attackers with a game-high 13 kills and tied teammate Jazmine Ma'afala with a game-high two service aces.  Ma'afala also led the team with 15 digs with Brittney Clark leading the team with 25 assists.

SUU will be back at home next weekend to wrap up its remaining home games of the 2009 season when the Thunderbirds host Oral Roberts and Centenary.  The Summit League contests will be on Thursday, Nov. 5 and Saturday, Nov. 7 with game times scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Centrum Arena.
