At SUU, 2007: Began season as primary backup at quarterback, appeared in three games off the bench then took over as starter after Wes Marshall was injured. Started the final three games of the season, wound up with team’s highest passer-efficiency rating, at 109.05, after completing 95-of-178 passes for 1,262 yards and seven touchdowns but was intercepted 15 times. Also had a rushing TD.
At Bakersfield College: Completed 42 of 95 passes for 925 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2006 when he also carried 26 times for 122 yards and another two scores. Helped guide the team to an 11-2 record and a berth in the Southern California championship game. Also spent two years at Northern Colorado where he redshirted then served as a reserve quarterback.
Personal: Graduate of Bakersfield’s North High School where he was an honor roll student. Passed for over 1,700 yards and rushed for 300 more his senior season when he was named all-area and a hometown all-star for head coach Mike Snow. Also lettered in baseball for the Stars. Parents are Elissa Ladd and Bob Stone. Majoring in communication.
