MACOMB, Ill. - Nov. 7 - Southern Utah women's soccer earned three individual postseason accolades as announced at The Summit League Soccer Tournament banquet on Thursday night.  Junior defender Kristen Fronk picked up first-team all-conference honors, senior forward Shaley Ipson-Allen second-team all-conference honors and freshman forward Stacey Brinkman was named to The Summit League all-Newcomer Team.

Fronk was a stalwart in the Thunderbird back line, appearing and starting in every game for SUU this season as a center back.  She was a key player in Southern Utah set pieces and long free kicks, recording 15 shots with five on goal.  She was also a major part in helping the T-Birds record the third-best goals against average in team history this season.

Ipson-Allen left her mark on the record books of SUU during her final campaign, holding offensive records in points (42), goals (18) and shots (149).  She was second on the team in points this season with ten on five goals and one assist.  Her five goals on the year tied for the team lead in that category.

Brinkman led the team in points with 12 on five goals and two assists.  Her five goals tied Ipson-Allen for the team lead with her two assists tied for second on the team.  Brinkman's 12 points on the year in the highest point total by a freshman in one season for more than four years at Southern Utah.

The Thunderbirds will continue their season when the team opens The Summit League Soccer Tournament Friday afternoon against Oakland University.  The Golden Grizzlies entered the tournament as the No. 1 seed with Southern Utah drawing the No. 4 seed.  Kick-off is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. (CT).
