CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Southern Utah women's tennis team and head coach Rose Ketmayura are proud to announce the signing of Ghita Nassik and Zoe Tanti to the 2017-18 roster.
Nassik, originally a native of Morocco, will be transferring to SUU from ASA College: Miami where she has competed for the last two years. As a member of the Silver Storm, Nassik was a part of a NJCAA National Championship winning team in 2016 and won her flight at nationals in the singles competition in 2017 after coming into the tournament ranked No. 6 in the nation.
“I had the opportunity to watch Ghita compete at the NJCAA Championships and words cannot describe how excited I am to have her join the team,” Ketmayura said. “Her work ethic, fight, focus, and tennis game are amazing. Her personality off the court will help the team chemistry immensely and she will be a huge asset to the team for the next two years.”
Tanti hails from Sydney, Australia where she holds an Australian ranking of 120 and an ITF ranking of 843. She has competed on multiple Australian junior national teams throughout her career and even represented her school Meriden during her time there.
