Reed Finishes Second For The United States At World Championships

CEDAR CITY, Utah - Thunderbird freshman Aidan Reed wrapped up competition for Team USA at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships on Sunday morning, finishing second for the United States. The competition was held in Kampala, Uganda. 

Reed finished the course in a time of 25:55, which put him in 46th place overall. As a team the United States finished in ninth place.

In both races where he wore the United States jersey, Reed finished second for the team. The other time being at the 2017 NACAC Cross Country Championships. He competed in the Men's Under 20 race. 

Paul Roberts led the way for the United States, finishing the course in a time of 25:31 to end up in 33rd place. As a group the USA scored 189 points.

Ethiopia ended up taking first place as a team, finishing with only 17 points. They were followed by Kenya (28) and Eritrea (55).
