At SUU, 2012: Appeared in eight games with seven starts at free safety, missed three games with injury. Tallied 50 tackles, 21 solo, with a tackle for loss and three interceptions, which co-led the team. Also broke up three passes and returned an interception 55 yards for a score at Northern Arizona. Had 10 tackles at Utah State an 11 in the season-finale at NAU. Was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week following the NAU game.
At SUU, 2011: Played in all 11 games, earned starting free safety position midway through the season, wound up eighth on the team (and third among returning players) with 40 tackles, including 23 solo stops. Also had two tackles for loss and recovered a pair of fumbles. Had a season-high nine tackles, three solo, at Cal Poly, then tallied eight, including five solo stops, the next week at Weber State.
At SUU, 2010: Walked on an earned a spot on the traveling roster. Appeared in nine games as a reserve defensive back and on special teams. Tallied 10 tackles, four solo.
Personal: Earned first-team all-county and team's most valuable DB honors for coach Tim Lins' Musketeers. Tallied 97 tackles with two sacks, four interceptions and three PBUs, helping the team to a pair of league titles and back-to-back appearances in the CIF finals. Averaged 26 yards per return. Parents are Cecilia and Tom Collett, Tom was an all-conference safety for the Thunderbirds back in the 1980s. Plans to major in criminal justice.
