2014:

• Played in all 12 games
• Finished third on the team with 87 total tackles, 40 unassisted and 47 assisted
• Tallied two tackles for loss and one fumble recovery

2013: 

• Played in seven games, primarily as a reserve linebacker and on special teams but moved to fullback late in the season
• Tallied six tackles, one solo, did not have a carry. best game was vs. UC Davis when he had four tackles

Personal:

• A three-year starter at defensive end and offensive tackle playing for former Thunderbird Ryan Bishop at Davis HS
• Named Region ONe  Defensive MVP, 5A Defensive MVP and first-team all-state by the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune as a senior
• Graduated first in his class with a 4.0 GPA
• Tallied 69 tackles with 6.5 sacks and two interceptions his senior season
• Parents are Sandy and Bob Kariya
• Plans to major in business with a finance emphasis
• Served an LDS church mission to Bulgaria
